Honor Student Achievements and Recognize Faculty and Staff Mentors <\/h1>\n

Commencement festivities begin Tuesday, May 7, with Honors Convocation at 11 a.m.<\/strong>\u202fin Shove Memorial Chapel.  <\/div>\n

<\/span> <\/p>\n

President Richardson, Dean Emily Chan, and the Academic Events Committee invite the CC community to join us in recognizing outstanding students and faculty at Honors Convocation. This will happen in place of the usual First Mondays event. The annual program includes departmental awards, all-college awards, and awards from the CC Student Government Association.  <\/div>\n

<\/span> <\/p>\n

All members of the campus community are invited and welcome to attend. Classes will adjourn at 10:30 a.m. on May 7<\/b> so all may attend the event and celebrate the individuals being honored for their academic, co-curricular, athletic, and other accomplishments.  <\/div>\n

There will also be a livestream option available<\/a> for those who are unable to attend in person.  <\/div>\n

<\/span> <\/p>\n

Faculty and members of Cabinet are invited to participate in the procession for Honors Convocation. If you are interested, please use this link to register to march<\/a>. Sesquicentennial Ice Cream Social<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
Immediately following Honors Convocation, the CC community is invited to a special Sesquicentennial Ice Cream Social on Tava Quad (approx. 12:15 p.m.). This will also be an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to bid farewell to our outgoing President, L. Song Richardson. If inclement weather is expected, this event will be moved to Armstrong Great Hall. <\/div>\n

Note: Rastall hours will be extended to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7<\/b> to accommodate students and employees attending the all-campus events set for this day.   <\/div>\n
