Join visionary civil rights leader\u00a0Valarie Kaur<\/a>\u00a0Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 7\u20139 p.m. in Celeste Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0for an immersive experience of storytelling, music, song, ancestral wisdom, and community-building. This will be a space for soulful introspection, deep listening, and courageous action. You will leave with the tools needed to lead with love and courage in your daily life. Valarie and fellow artists will tell stories of how their ancestors survived seemingly apocalyptic times. Together, we will explore how each of us can walk the path of love, healing, and justice.<\/p>\n

Special guests include celebrated Sikh women artists Jasvir Kaur Rababan and Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa, and renowned trumpeter and artist Sonny Singh performing from his new album\u00a0Sage Warrior<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Along the way, Glaude shares stories about the transformative power of imagination. \u201cWe must resist those voices who urge us to settle for the world as it is and call us to imagine a better world,\u201d Glaude says.<\/p>\n

Angela Cobi\u00e1n \u201911 and Jack Teter \u201913 have spent more than a decade working in public education organization and advocacy. They took the foundation they gained at CC and used it to build careers that serve their community. They are now using their years of experience and working together for a better world in the reproductive rights and justice movement. Both have been in the movement pre and post the fall of\u00a0Roe vs. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n
