Activism After CC<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Many people seek social and political change for a better world. How have CC students carried that aspiration forward to do good works after graduation?<\/p>\n

For the Block 4 First Mondays, three CC alums will talk about their career paths and the varied ways in which they have sought to make the world better after leaving CC.\u00a0Come to Kathryn Mohrman Theater on Monday, Nov. 18 from 11:15 a.m.-noon <\/strong> to hear what these alums have to say.<\/p>\n

Barrett Donovan\u00a0\u201916 is an environmentalist and community builder with a B.A. in Environmental Science from CC and an M.S. in Resilient & Sustainable Communities from Prescott College. She works for Colorado Water Trust, a homegrown non-profit that restores water to rivers and streams across the state.<\/p>\n

Jack\u00a0Teter\u00a0\u201913\u00a0graduated with a BA in Religion and a minor in Feminist and Gender Studies.\u00a0He now works to implement policies that expand access to abortion and other reproductive health care in Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada.\u00a0Jack\u00a0was the first transgender staffer\u00a0at the Colorado Capitol and is an experienced organizer at the intersection of progressive politics and faith communities.<\/p>\n

Brian Kates\u00a0\u201993 has applied\u00a0his BA in Psychology and MA in Counseling and Human Services towards the management of Meadows Park Community Center since 1998, supporting underserved populations through\u00a0programs, opportunities, advocacy, and connection.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
