A Strong Sense of Belonging during Homecoming Weekend<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Last weekend was\u00a0filled with memory-sharing and a strong sense of connection, culminating in the 150th Extravaganza and an incredible drone show sponsored by FSH Tech. With over 1,600 people on campus, CC was bustling with strength and unity. In just a few months, Maggie Mixer \u201924 went from on-campus organizing to managing an entire campaign. When asked how, Mixer has three words: The Block Plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cCampaign work is both a marathon and a sprint, so the Block Plan\u2019s training to manage large volumes of work efficiently in short periods of time is very useful,\u201d says Mixer, a former Political Science major.<\/p>\n

Despite finishing up her thesis and still having to meet her on-campus responsibilities, Mixer began her current role as a campaign manager for Katie Stewart back in April, while she was still a student. Stewart ran for Colorado State House District 59, in Southwest Colorado.<\/p>\n

Over the past several months, the staff of the FAC have been hard at work identifying the priorities and goals that will guide their efforts over the next two years. These priorities\u2014Visibility, Engagement, and Sustainability\u2014are designed to strengthen the center\u2019s identity as a cultural leader, enhance its impact in our communities, and ensure long-term organizational resilience and success.<\/p>\n

Visibility:<\/strong>\u00a0We will actively communicate our identity and priorities to unify perceptions, strengthen community connections, and enhance our role as a cultural leader in the arts.<\/p>\n

Engagement: <\/strong>We will create a dynamic, collaborative environment that not only strengthens internal synergies across programming areas but also broadens our reach and impact within our communities.<\/p>\n

Sustainability: <\/strong>We will ensure long-term success and resilience by strengthening financial sustainability to the resources needed to pursue ambitious goals, and operational sustainability to the resources needed to support staff, deliver high-quality programs, and continue fulfilling our mission.<\/p>\n

First-year student Polly Panasenko is addressing a concern affecting many students across campus \u2013 food insecurity. In an attempt to maximize student meal plan budgets, Panasenko has developed a brand new weekly newsletter called The Meal Plan Guard<\/a>. This newsletter spotlights events across campus that offer food in order to supplement meals.
