It\u2019s Time for the 2024 Arts and Crafts Fair<\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

CC is hosting the 2024 Arts and Crafts Fair on\u00a0Friday, Dec. 6 from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.<\/strong> in Worner Campus Center.<\/p>\n

The Arts and Crafts Fair celebrates local and regional creative makers working in a variety of media. This fair is unique in that it brings together artists at all different points of their practice and careers, including CC students as well as artists from our local community.<\/p>\n

Please join us for two days of incredible art created by these local artists, art making activities, and music! The fair will open at 3 p.m. on Friday for all CC students, staff, and faculty to shop early before the general public arrives.<\/p>\n

Five and a half years ago, Lesley Irvine arrived at CC as the new VP and Director of Athletics, ready for a new challenge. CC had everything Irvine wanted. Her past experiences provided the perfect foundation to help her lead a dual-divisional department as well as one with a hockey team (a unique program in collegiate athletics).<\/p>\n

\u201cCC had this bold vision for its athletic programs and that\u2019s what really excited me,\u201d says Irvine. \u201cUltimately, we all as leaders in athletics want to be at a place where what you do is really valued. Athletics here at CC is truly valued in a way that is really healthy. It\u2019s part of the educational experience here. You have a platform to be really successful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom Byron \u201923 took the lessons he learned as a Political Science major at CC to get his dream campaign job as the Campaign Manager for House District 18 candidate Amy Paschal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be doing this job if it wasn\u2019t for CC,\u201d says Byron. \u201cThe Political Science Department supported my campaign work from the start, especially my advisor, Eve Grace, and my\u00a0U.S. Politics<\/em>\u00a0professor, Dana Wolfe. The flexibility of the Block Plan let me work the seasonal campaign schedule while staying in school, and the Political Science Department even offers a class to receive credit for working on different local and state-level campaigns.\u201d<\/p>\n
