Space Governance Operational Group

One of the recommendations from the space utilization study that was conducted last year was to form a Space Governance Operational Group<\/strong><\/em> (SGOG). The SGOG will begin establishing structures to support governance of campus spaces. The CC community is invited to submit recommendations for representation<\/a> on this operational group. The<\/strong> Student Success Operational Group<\/strong> <\/em>The Student Support sub-group <\/em>is focusing on identifying and mapping the relationships between key student support resources across campus. Members are also working on creating definitions to describe various thresholds of the student success spectrum (i.e., struggling to thriving).<\/p>\n

The Digital Student Experience sub-group<\/em> is mapping the student technology ecosystem and platform usage. Members are planning student focus groups in Blocks 4-5 to understand platform usage.<\/p>\n

The Monitoring and Assessment sub-group<\/em> is conducting 10-year data analysis on student attrition risk factors. Members are developing a survey to identify experiences that promote retention.<\/p>\n

The High Impact Pathways sub-group <\/em> is finalizing curriculum mapping and career competencies. Members are rolling out a course designation system in Banner and Stellic.<\/p>\n

The College Events Operational Group <\/em><\/strong>will be requesting all faculty and staff submit events for the 2025-2026 academic year in January 2025. This is an effort to enhance support and promotion of events and allows for sufficient time to review all requests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The Summer Student Program Logistics TOG <\/em><\/strong>submitted a final report to the COO, which included an operational guide for updated processes that will be included in the operational timelines of the individual programs. Recommendations were shared for policies and processes that need more dedicated time and resources to address.<\/p>\n

The Campus Accessibility TOG<\/em> <\/strong>is continuing to compile a list of current accessibility tools and trainings happening on campus. They have begun to identify gaps and are completing a self-evaluation tool to help guide their work in developing a plan for addressing those gaps. CC Gilmore Stabler Cabin<\/strong>
\n<\/em>Beginning Jan. 10, 2025, the Center for Global Ed and Field Study (under Drew Cavin, Director of Field Study) will manage the CC Gilmore Stabler Cabin. All reservations can still be booked in the current system<\/a> through Jan. 10. After Jan. 10, reservations will be serviced and booked by Field Study. Visit the updated webpage for the booking link and information on the Cabin.<\/p>\n

Summer Pre-College Program
\n<\/em><\/strong>CC\u2019s Summer Pre-College Program will be paused for the summer of 2025 as the College works to redefine its goals and objectives. Over the next year, the program will be reimagined, with plans to relaunch a renewed version in the summer of 2026.<\/p>\n

In preparation for this relaunch, staff will implement a comprehensive outreach and recruitment strategy aimed at increasing participation, specifically targeting high school sophomores and juniors. Departments across campus will clarify roles and improve coordination to ensure operational efficiency and enhance the overall student experience. Program organizers will also collaborate closely with faculty to offer courses that showcase CC\u2019s academic strengths and unique offerings. Additionally, the Admission Office will strengthen follow-up efforts with program attendees to foster greater affinity for CC and boost future enrollment interest.<\/p>\n
