Olivia Spencer \u201925 is graduating this Sunday, Dec. 15 after an exciting four years. Spencer\u2019s time at CC has taken her across the globe, including a semester abroad at the University of Auckland, a block abroad in Costa Rica, and extended research in the Czech Republic with Dr. Miro Kummel, Professor and Chair of CC\u2019s Environmental Program. Spencer collaborated with Kummel and Dr. Marek Baxa, from ENKI in the Czech Republic, for her senior thesis, focusing on the dynamics of shallow lakes and their stable alternative states. Outside of academics, Spencer has been a key leader in Outdoor Education as a kayak instructor and whitewater coordinator. She also showcased her musical talents as a member of the Chamber Chorus and CC Choir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Ren Coryell \u201925 is a transfer student who spent the last two and a half years at CC. During their time at CC, Ren co-founded The Queer and Trans Collective in collaboration with the Butler Center. This initiative fosters community, advocates for queer and trans students, and educates the broader campus on LGBTQIA+ issues. In recognition of their impactful work, Ren received the Ginger Morgan Legacy Award for Feminist and LGBTQIA+ Initiatives last May.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n

Ashley Stewart \u201925 has been a dedicated student-athlete on the Division 1 Women\u2019s Soccer team and a member of the Dean’s List. With plans to continue playing soccer professionally overseas after graduation, Stewart is also pursuing a career in the sports industry. Her thesis research focuses on competitive balance in European women\u2019s soccer, reflecting her passion for advancing the sport on and off the field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

UCHealth is a trusted healthcare leader in Southern Colorado with a nationally recognized network of hospitals, clinics, and providers who are dedicated to delivering excellent, patient-centered care. Our clinic team will include a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, medical assistant, and medical receptionist, all here to support your health needs. CC has been recognized by the\u00a0ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge\u00a0as a\u00a02024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting.\u00a0The honor recognizes colleges and universities for outstanding efforts to increase nonpartisan student voter participation. CC joins a group of 471 colleges and universities recognized by ALL IN for participating in the challenge. Through an intentionally-designed program that provides structure, support, and recognition, ALL IN works to improve civic learning, political engagement, and voter participation on more than 1,075 campuses nationwide. ALL IN believes higher education should play a role in developing an active and informed citizenry by educating students, motivating them to engage in American democracy, and instilling the value of lifelong participation.<\/p>\n
