You belong at CC. All bodies are welcome here, including in our wellness spaces on campus. With recent executive orders limiting access to health care for gender affirming care, we want to be clear that all students will continue to be supported by receiving evidence-based, caring services at our counseling and student health centers. And all employees will continue to have access to health insurance and other benefits.<\/p>\n

Our healthcare partner on campus, UCHealth, respects the important, private relationship between a patient and their provider, and continues to support adults\u2019 rights to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. The Health Center staff cares deeply for all patients and will continue to provide care and resources as appropriate for each individual.<\/p>\n

The Counseling Center continues to be staffed with counselors who have expertise in supporting students from all communities, identities, and backgrounds. They are available for in-person support and all students receive six free visits per academic year. Both our Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and Cigna, our employee health plan, have confirmed there is no change in coverage for gender-affirming care<\/strong>. If you have questions about SHIP, please contact Kim Taylor<\/a>. For questions about Cigna, please reach out to Cameron Martin<\/a>. The staff in Health & Wellbeing continue to monitor the rapidly changing landscape for healthcare and will maintain our commitment to support the whole campus community through these changes. As of March 5, a federal judge has granted a request for a preliminary injunction, effectively halting the executive order blocking funding for gender-affirming healthcare for those 19 and younger. The original order and injunction affect hospitals and does not directly apply to services on campus. You matter to CC and your health matters to us. Do not hesitate to reach out for support.
