color: #000000;\">necessary language placement process  <\/a><\/strong>to submit language course choices during preregistration.\u202f<\/li>\n<li style=\"Margin:0\">If you want your Hub Advisor to review your plan but don\u2019t want to meet, no problem!  <strong>Plan your coursework in Stellic <\/strong>and send a request to your Hub Advisor to review your plan.\u202f\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"Margin:0\">There are times when you may need a <strong>COI pin <\/strong>  to submit course choices for preregistration. If you are requesting permission to register for a course that you don\u2019t have the prerequisite(s) for or the course description states a COI is needed, then please email the professor of that course to request the   COI pin. They will be here to talk about what you can do to set yourself up for a successful application season. But also consider applying to schools within your GPA and   LSAT range. The Law School Admission Council has a great tool to see the range. Other aspects to consider are location, cost of attendance, class size, theoretical vs clinical schools, rankings, employment data, bar passage rate and lifestyle. This is how they answered&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px\">Registering for classes at CC can be a stressful and intensive process. I can say that many students at CC, including myself, worry about the uncertainty of the future or whether or not they will get the \u201conly\u201d course   that fits their schedule. However, with a proper and planned approach, registration becomes much easier and more relaxing to navigate. One of the best tips to help with pre-registration is to research courses ahead of time and ensure that you have backup options   if you don\u2019t get your top pick. With the block plan at CC, courses fill up quickly, highlighting the importance of alternatives. Students should pay attention to prerequisites and professor reviews and have a sound long-term objective. Ask yourself, what does   this class fulfill? It could be a major or minor requirement, a general education requirement, or you are just interested in the course. Another advice is to plan out your schedule with balance in mind. Avoid having two back-to-back hard blocks. Instead, mix   in a class in a different area of study (maybe a gen ed.). This can help take the load off of challenging majors and prevent burnout. One more piece of advice is to try out new and foreign courses. The liberal arts college experience is unique because it encourages   a well-rounded education focused on cultivating students who can think critically and contribute to society. This well-roundedness enables students to try classes outside their comfort zone and primary discipline. Trying out new courses might expose them to   a path they might not have considered otherwise. In the end, remember to plan ahead, consider alternative courses, balance your schedule, and try new\/different courses.&nbsp;  <br \/>  <em>&#8211; Kjetil Hassman, class of &#8217;27<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0;margin-bottom:16px\">When preregistration is approaching, I find it very helpful to sit down and physically write out what classes I hope to get into, with each class\u2019s CRN and Course ID (or at least a general idea of the types of classes   I want to take). This way, the process is super easy and quick when you meet with your advisor! Before doing this, though, I like to write out what gen ed requirements I haven\u2019t fulfilled so that those can be prioritized first. Then I search for those gen-   d\u2019s one block at a time until I find a class that interests me. I also take a look at what major requirements I have not yet fulfilled, and search for those block by block to see what is available to take. I then (ideally) have 2-3 class options for each block   to create a list to bring to my advisor, and if I don\u2019t get into my first choices I already have a backup or two for each block to fall back on! Preparing class options and tracking your degree progress in advance of preregistration is, I feel, the most efficient   way to approach the class selection process and also removes a lot of stress later on if things don\u2019t go exactly as planned, or if you are planning to take blocks\/semesters abroad later on. The \u201cclass schedule\u201d link in the student tab of Banner is your friend!!  <br \/>  <em>&#8211; Addison Ordner, class of &#8217;28<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0\">For me, preregistration goes the smoothest when I have a thorough plan. I usually start by looking at what requirements I have left, both for my major and gen eds. From there, I plan accordingly. I look at the schedule for classes I know   I need for my major, and that I know I can take. I try to not schedule all my major classes in a row, so I can take some gen eds in between. This helps me feel like I have a well-rounded year ahead of me. I also recommend going block by block and creating   a list of classes you could take in the order you want them in. If I really want a class but don&#8217;t get in, I at least have a list of backups ready for when add\/drop opens. Lastly, run your schedule by your faculty or hub advisor! Don&#8217;t be afraid to ask them   questions or ask their opinions on your selections.
