Adam Farver \u201999 greatly values his CC experience. \u201cI love the Block Plan. It\u2019s the way I\u2019m wired. I love working on specific subjects, focusing deeply, and having the ability to be completely immersed in the subject,\u201d he says. \u201cAlso, if you want to be a professor at CC, you have to love to teach. So, the engagement with all of the professors at Colorado College is deep, true and authentic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farver knows this personally from co-teaching in the Economics and Business Department with Larry Stimpert, Jim Parco, and Lora Louise Broady \u201983. He is always amazed at the caliber of CC students. \u201cNot just their academic ability, which is always striking, but their presence, poise, and passion is unrivaled versus other places where I\u2019ve had the opportunity to interact with students,\u201d he says. \u201cNot only do they tackle questions and problems head-on and provide astounding insight, they also ask phenomenal questions.\u201d <\/p>\n

Please join Associate VP of Wellness, Janelle Taylor, for an overview of the Okanagan Charter \u2013 a framework that guides institutions of higher education in embedding health and wellbeing into all aspects of campus life. The charter is grounded in principles of sustainability, equity and social justice. Established in 2015, it has been adopted at 37 \u201chealth promoting universities and colleges\u201d across the U.S. and 14 nations. CC is in a \u201cpotential adoptees\u201d cohort. Please register in advance.<\/p>\n
