Join us on Tuesday, Apr. 29 from 5-6 p.m. in Celeste Theatre<\/strong> for a presentation by Peter Hotez, M.D., Ph.D., DSc (honoray), Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine, Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine, and Co-director of the Texas Children\u2019s Center for Vaccine Development. Enjoy light refreshments in Cornerstone Main Space from 4-5 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Hotez, one of the leading defenders of vaccines in America, will present on \u201cVaccines and Immunizations in a Time of Global Boiling and Anti-Science.\u201d<\/a> As both a vaccine scientist and a parent of a child with autism, Dr. Hotez has led national efforts to defend vaccines and serves as an ardent champion of vaccines going up against a growing national \u201cantivax\u201d threat. Dr. Hotez will also discuss the critical importance of scientific literacy and the defense of scientific thought in the current climate. <\/p>\n

This seminar is generously supported through the Harold D. and Rhoda N. Roberts Memorial Lecture in the Natural Sciences endowment, which supports and enhances science teaching at Colorado College. <\/p>\n
