Possibility thinking represents one of C&I\u2019s foundational Creativity Mindsets\u2013<\/strong>a framework for practicing components of creative thinking. The term was initially coined by educational researcher and former Professor of Education at Exeter University, Anna Craft (1961\u20132014).\u202fCraft was particularly interested in everyday manifestations of creative thinking, or, as she put it, \u201clife-wide\u201d creativity. In her view, possibility thinking involves taking action to find and solve problems, using imagination, intuition, and logic to meet everyday challenges, and seeing multiple options to enable innovation in all aspects of life.<\/strong> It invites us to repeatedly pose the question, \u201cWhat if?\u201d to generate multiple, diverging possibilities that encompass likely and unlikely solutions to a problem.  <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

Creativity drop-ins<\/a> take place on the second<\/strong> <\/em>Monday of each block,<\/strong> from 3\u20134 p.m. Drop in at any point during this time to explore a creative process. The C&I workshop series<\/a> introduces a wide range of creativity exercises suitable for anyone teaching a course at CC. At each workshop, participants will practice the exercise, place it in a creativity framework, and discuss how it might be adapted for specific learning outcomes.
