Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. in Celeste Theatre<\/strong> for an unforgettable evening as we present an exclusive screening of the Sundance nominated documentary SPEAK.<\/em> (2025)<\/a>\u2014a powerful and moving look into the world of high school speech and debate.<\/p>\n

Follow five extraordinary students as they harness their voices to challenge injustice and confront urgent topics\u2014disability rights, immigration, mental health, LGBTQ+ advocacy\u2014and redefine what it means to lead. Described as \u201ccinematically eloquent,\u201d SPEAK., at its heart, is a portrait of a generation\u2019s courage\u2014students who turn debate into dialogue, and dialogue into change.<\/p>\n

Immediately following the film, stay for a dynamic panel conversation moderated by Mike Edmonds, former CC Senior Vice President, and featuring President Whitaker and the film\u2019s directors\u2014CC alum Guy Mossman \u201995 and Jennifer Tiexiera. Together, they\u2019ll explore how storytelling and civic dialogue shape culture, influence policy, and build stronger community on campus and beyond.<\/p>\n
