This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) \u2014 a landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination and ensures equal opportunity for people with disabilities in employment, education, and public life.<\/p>\n

The ADA, signed into law on July 26, 1990, was the result of decades of advocacy to remove physical and attitudinal barriers to full participation. Its passage affirmed that disability rights are civil rights, reshaping campuses, workplaces, and communities nationwide.<\/p>\n
