On Saturday, Nov. 8<\/strong>, the Colorado College community will gather to honor the inauguration of Dr. Manya C. Whitaker as our 15th president.<\/p>\n

Together, we\u2019ll celebrate the innovative spirit of the Block Plan, the power of collaborative leadership, and the enduring purpose of the liberal arts. Festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. and last through midafternoon!<\/p>\n

The only ticketed event is the 11 a.m. Inauguration Ceremony in Celeste Theatre (be sure to <\/strong>claim your tickets<\/strong><\/a> by Oct. 31)<\/strong>. However, if you plan to join us for the community breakfast, Block Talks, group livestream viewing, or post-ceremony reception, please fill out this <\/strong>RSVP form<\/strong><\/a> by Oct. 31<\/strong> so our events team can plan for food and space. <\/p>\n

Join the Collaborative for Community Engagement (CCE) by engaging in the Week of Action<\/a>, Jan. 12-16 2026, a week of opportunities and events that aim to mobilize and inspire staff and faculty to engage in local community-based volunteerism.   <\/p>\n

The All-Funds Budgeting approach will unify all our revenue sources, including tuition and fees, endowment payouts, gifts, and capital funds, into one strategic view. This comprehensive model allows us to align resources with our priorities, reduce reliance on student tuition, and create an equitable framework that supports the full scope of our mission.<\/p>\n

Jack Saccaro \u201926 spent the past summer using his Business, Economics, and Society (BESoc) major while interning at Baxter Credit Union (BCU) on the Business Development and Corporate Relations team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt well-prepared for the internship thanks to Colorado College\u2019s Block Plan,\u201d Saccaro says. \u201cWhile I didn\u2019t know everything going in, the model taught me how to quickly dive into a new environment, learn rapidly, and apply those skills. Within the BESoc major, my Statistics and Data, Math, and Modeling<\/em> classes were especially valuable in preparing me for the analytical and model-building aspects of the work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saccaro is passionate about using data and strategy to solve complicated problems. His classes at CC gave him a strong background in economics, business strategy, and analytical thinking, which he was able to use throughout his internship.<\/p>\n

All Raquel wants to do is help her family run their campground in the Colorado mountains, but the worst has happened: summer school! She is having trouble reading but never fear, Pinkie the Purple Pineapple is here to save the day. Is Pinkie imaginary? Is she real? Maybe it doesn\u2019t matter since she teaches Raquel to overcome her fears. In this bilingual show, you\u2019ll hear a mix of English and Spanish. But don\u2019t worry! No matter which language you speak, you and your kids will easily be able to follow along. <\/p>\n

Raquel\u2019s Purple Pineapple Adventures<\/em> opens at the FAC on Saturday, Oct. 25, and runs through Nov. 2<\/strong>.
