In a time of political uncertainty, one tradition has continued to unite and inspire, drawing crowds and enthusiasm year after year. The D\u00eda de Muertos celebration at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College\u2019s enduring popularity is proof that community spirit never wavers. The two-day, free event drew more than 3,100 people in its sixth consecutive year. FAC leaders couldn\u2019t be more thrilled.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very pleased with this year\u2019s celebration!\u201d shares Director of FAC Events Rebecca Rounds. \u201cWe added some great new community organization partners, new food vendors, and new artisans to make our mercado more robust and they have all been fantastic additions to the event, and most importantly, wonderful partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

We are thrilled to host the annual Arts and Crafts Fair again this year! The Arts and Crafts fair celebrates local and regional creative makers working in a variety of media. This year, there are over 80 participants, including student and regional artists. We can\u2019t think of a better way to support our community of artists than attending the fair. Please join us for two days of incredible art!<\/p>\n

Begin your journey with one of our hands-on workshops\u2014a prerequisite that opens the door to affordable open studio sessions, where you can keep exploring a variety of printmaking techniques at your own pace. The first workshop<\/a> is Saturday, Dec. 6, from noon-3 p.m.<\/strong> <\/p>\n
