Colorado College has earned a 2025 Bronze Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) Award from The League of American Bicyclists. The award celebrates colleges and universities that rise to the challenge by investing in infrastructure and partnerships that make biking safe, easier, and more accessible for everyone.<\/p>\n

The Bicycle Friendly University program evaluates applicants\u2019 efforts to promote bicycling in five primary areas: engineering, encouragement, education, evaluation\/planning, and equity\/accessibility. CC\u2019s Office of Sustainability provided details on bike-related policies, programs, educational initiatives, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Carlie Malott \u201926 is a senior education and psychology major. Her education thesis, the early findings of which she presented at an international conference last fall, examines how disability labels can both unlock students\u2019 potential and inadvertently limit their sense of self-worth, confidence, and performance. For her psychology thesis, she is piloting a body-acceptance program she co-developed with researchers at Stanford University. She currently works in a neuropsychological assessment clinic and as a Crisis Text Line counselor. <\/p>\n
