Colorado College is pleased to announce that one of Hollywood\u2019s most celebrated voice actors, Dee Bradley Baker \u201986, has been selected to give the Commencement Ceremony address to the Class of 2026 on Sunday, May 17, from 8:30-11 a.m.<\/strong>, inside Ed Robson Arena. <\/p>\n

Baker earned his BA in Philosophy at CC in 1986 with extensive study in German, plus a wide-ranging mix of biology and art courses. He lists some of his favorite classes as invertebrate zoology, painting, and Buddhism. He also spent much of his time at CC in choir and on stage, an early foundation for his performance career.<\/p>\n

The College Events Operational Group (CEOG) invites campus partners to submit events for the 2026-27 academic year in Momentus by Tuesday, March 31<\/strong>. Early submissions help coordinate logistics, reduce scheduling conflicts, and support the One CC Experience across campus.<\/p>\n

Events are organized into five categories:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

    The City of Colorado Springs will host the annual St. Patrick\u2019s Day Parade on Saturday, March 14<\/strong>, with the parade route running along Tejon Street from Cache La Poudre Street to Vermijo Avenue.<\/p>\n

    If you are leaving campus for Spring Break, please do not leave vehicles parked on Tejon Street or Cache La Poudre. These streets fall within the parade staging area (including Cache La Poudre from Cascade Avenue to Nevada Avenue), and vehicles left in these areas may be towed by the city.<\/p>\n

    Tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m.-noon<\/strong>, explore the luminous folk tradition of pysanky\u2014Ukrainian wax-resist egg decorating. Using a kistka (stylus), beeswax, and layered dyes, you\u2019ll draw symbols, build color from light to dark, and reveal intricate patterns in the final wax melt. Learn the meaning of motifs, how to plan color sequences, and how to seal and preserve your work. No experience necessary, and all tools and dyes provided.     From the FAC museum\u2019s earliest days, gifts of art have shaped this institution and the permanent collection it stewards. More than half of the collection arrived through the generosity of artists, donors, and others who gifted important works or funds that have made key purchases possible. These acts of giving didn’t just add works; they defined the collection’s scope and vision.<\/p>\n

    Alice Bemis Taylor\u2019s foundational gift of art from the Southwest grounded the FAC in this region. Meredith Sage Hare’s donation of American modernist paintings and sculptures set sights on the avant-garde. Subsequent gifts have continued this dual commitment\u2014grounded in the Southwest, attentive to what’s new\u2014while also broadening the FAC\u2019s collecting scope.
