Dee Bradley Baker \u201986, a self-proclaimed \u201ctime traveling\u201d alumnus from Colorado College\u2019s Class of 1986, gave this year\u2019s 569 graduates a funny, somewhat prophetic look at life beyond the hallowed halls of CC.<\/p>\n

A renowned voice actor, Baker infused his Commencement speech with character, voicing quips and wisdom as Daffy Duck in Space Jam<\/em>, Captain Rex the clone trooper in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, <\/em>and Perry the Platypus in Phineas and Ferb, <\/em>among others\u2014much to the delight of the Generation Z graduates who grew up watching these shows.<\/p>\n

Four recent alumni have been named 2026 winners of the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship is a prestigious, highly competitive award that enables graduate students to focus more deeply on their studies,\u201d says Rachel Jabaily, Associate Professor and Chair of Organismal Biology & Ecology. \u201cA committee of scientists has evaluated their approach to science and plans for their projects and has deemed these recipients worthy of full support. We should be proud to have four recipients this year from Colorado College, but we shouldn\u2019t be surprised because our students learned how to focus, hone and communicate their original ideas through the myriad classes they excelled in on the Block Plan while they were with us.\u201d <\/p>\n

More Brand Refresh Resources Now Available<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The final brand refresh resources are now available to help bring the updated brand to life across campus communications, events, and storytelling. This release includes new tools and libraries designed to support consistent, flexible use of the brand in everyday work.<\/p>\n

Available resources include the Adobe Express template library<\/a>, the Proof Point Library<\/a>, and the Brand Photo Library<\/a> in the DAM. OCM has also released new campus toolkits\u2014the Event Toolkit<\/a> and Ambassador Toolkit<\/a>\u2014which provide ready-to-use assets, guidance, and ideas for applying the brand in a variety of settings. All of this information and more can be found on the updated OCM website<\/a>. <\/p>\n

These tools are designed to make it easier for departments, offices, and programs to share CC\u2019s story with clarity, consistency, and creativity while still allowing room for each area\u2019s distinct voice and needs. Trainings on the brand refresh resources will take place across campus beginning in June. An open training session will also be offered Monday, July 14, from 1-2 p.m.<\/strong>, with more details to come. Colorado College was among theatres across the country to host a National Day of Theatre Readings for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.<\/p>\n

This nationwide event was coordinated by the Native Performing Arts Network and corresponds with the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW). May 5 has been designated as a National Day of Awareness for MMIW since 2017, in response to the rape and murder of Hanna Harris of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, as well as the murders of other Indigenous women across the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n

Bring the whole family to Family Adventure Day<\/a> <\/strong>at the FAC <\/strong>on Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m.<\/strong> for a free day of creativity, play, and hands-on discovery. Enjoy live aerialist performances by Elizabeth Fluharty, art-making stations, ceramics demonstrations, Dungeons & Dragons miniature painting, yard games, chalk art, and more.<\/p>\n
