Kaviya Chidambaram \u201927 is helping fisherwomen in Chennai, India, fight climate displacement, funded by a $10,000 Davis Project for Peace award.<\/p>\n

Everybody Welcome\u2122: A Celebration of Culture and Diversity<\/a> comes to Armstrong Hall on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.<\/strong> This free, family-friendly festival will feature live music, cultural performances, traditional dance, ethnic foods, craft vendors, workshops, community discussions, cultural villages, and hands-on activities for children.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cHistory Speaks, Future Listens,\u201d connects the region\u2019s rich cultural heritage with America\u2019s 250th anniversary and Colorado\u2019s 150th year of statehood. Six students competed at the USA Climbing 2026 Collegiate Climbing Nationals in late May, earning three medals and making a name for themselves.<\/p>\n

Despite being a small team, CC placed fifth out of 99 at the competition, with a score of 3843.5, and won the Team Speed event. They placed 31st in the Lead Team event and fourth in Boulder Team.<\/p>\n

Downtown Tejon was a one-way street and Plaza of the Rockies was brand new when Boston native John Krakauer \u201985 hit upon the idea that would change Colorado Springs\u2014and his life.<\/p>\n

Ice cream.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt started when I was walking around downtown when I was a CC student and recognized that there was something missing,\u201d he says. \u201cIt was ice cream like we have back in Boston.\u201d<\/p>\n
