Service Interruption: Utility Work and Upcoming Water Main Repair<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, September 12, 2026<\/strong>, Colorado Springs Utilities will excavate the roadway on Cache La Poudre Street between Cascade Avenue and Tejon Street<\/strong> to investigate a water main leak and determine the scope of the required repairs. Work will take place from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/strong> During this time, the road will be closed with limited access in the area.<\/p>\n

There will be no water service interruption on September 12.<\/strong> The work being performed is strictly investigative and is intended to identify the cause of the leak and the materials needed to complete the permanent repair.<\/p>\n

The roadway will be temporarily restored and reopened on Saturday evening to allow normal traffic flow during the following week.<\/p>\n

Upcoming Water Main Repair<\/strong><\/p>\n

The permanent water main repair is currently scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026<\/strong>. This repair will require a planned water shutdown and service interruption for affected areas. Specific details regarding the outage, impacted buildings, and expected duration will be communicated in advance as plans are finalized.<\/p>\n
