We invite you to join the Collaborative for Community Engagement (CCE) this January in connecting our CC community with local non-profits by engaging in Week of Action 2027. Week of Action aims to mobilize and inspire staff and faculty to engage in local community-based work and build community.

In alignment with MLK Day, Week of Action honors the spirit of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and will take place Jan. 11-15, 2027. Our hope is to emphasize group volunteer opportunities, offering a way to enhance team-building and strong relationships on-campus, in addition to community impact.

Last year, staff and faculty engaged in sorting food at Care and Share Food Bank, landscaping with the City Forestry team, painting at a local elementary school, fire mitigation at a local open space, and so much more!

We encourage departmental teams and individuals to join us for a two- to three-hour activity. To participate as a team or individual, please complete this form by Friday, Oct. 30.

CCE staff will follow up with you in Block 4 to confirm your placement and make sure you are ready to go for January. If you have any questions, please reach out to cce@coloradocollege.edu.

Sincerely,
