The Philosophy Department at Colorado College will host free multimedia performances of “The Warriors: A Love Story” based on the lives of World War II veteran and former CC Philosophy Professor J. Glenn Gray and his wife, Ursula, a dance instructor. The couple met in Munich during the American occupation of Germany. Austin-based ARCOS Dance brings the production to the Richard F. Celeste Theatre, Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, Sept. 4–5, 7:30 p.m. nightly.

The dance/theatre performance explores the personal legacies of the Grays, grandparents of ARCOS Director, Eliot Gray Fisher, against the backdrop of war. Combining Fisher’s narration, choreography, sound design, archival footage, family heirlooms, text, and interactive video, the fast-paced show ran to rave reviews at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, earning Mervyn Stutter’s “Spirit of the Fringe” award. Tickets are available at the Worner Desk. Call (719) 389-6606 for information. Sponsored by the Philosophy Department and Cultural Attractions Fund at Colorado College.
