NATIONAL HISTORY DAY 2025<\/p>\n\n\n

PIKES PEAK REGIONAL CONTEST: The 2025 Regional Contest will be held on the Campus of Colorado College, Saturday, March 1, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

2025 National Theme: \u00a0“Rights and Responsibilities in History”<\/em><\/h1>\n

What is History Day? All Middle and High School age students (grades 6-8 & 9-12) are invited to “DO” History by preparing a research paper, a multimedia documentary, a web site, a dramatic performance or an imaginative exhibit on a topic of their own choosing.<\/em><\/h2>\n

Projects will be judged on research, primary sources, historical accuracy, presentation of thesis and argument and on how well they relate to the national theme<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n

On-Line Registration Open January 6-31, 2025:\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/pp-co.nhd.org<\/strong><\/p>\n

PLEASE REMEMBER:\u00a0 All<\/span> participants including group members must<\/span> fill out and submit their own registration form.<\/p>\n

Entry Fees due by February 24th\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/sup><\/strong>($5 fee per ENTRY not<\/u> per student)<\/strong><\/p>\n

All Registration Corrections\/title changes should be made by February 24, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

State Contest\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 April 26, 2025<\/strong> at University of Colorado at Denver Auria Campus<\/p>\n

National Contest \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 June 8\u201312, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0at the University of Maryland, College Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Please note: Entries in the Paper and Web Site categories mut be completed and turned in BEFORE the regional competition. Judges need extra time to evaluate these categories.)<\/em><\/p>\n

ALL OTHER CATEGORIES: Contest information and room assignments will be sent to individual competitors or group leaders before the in-person contest on March 1st.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
