Jeff H. presented a talk by Takaharu Tezuka: “The best kindergarten you’ve ever seen”. The talk showed a kindergarten in Japan that was designed with kids (and teacher’s sanity) in mind. The interactive kindergarten encourages imagination and physical activity; it lets kids be kids.
“At this school in Tokyo, five-year-olds cause traffic jams and windows are for Santa to climb into. Meet: the world’s cutest kindergarten, designed by architect Takaharu Tezuka. In this charming talk, he walks us through a design process that really lets kids be kids.”
The talk was followed by discussion about the benefits of play and physical activity at a workplace. Jeff’s talk had a great response and was attended by quite a few men and women of ITS:.
