Contributing in the Classroom


Learning from the expertise of the classroom teachers, the CC students first watched the teacher deliver the lesson.  CC students then supported the workshop time during which elementary students wrote and CC students circulated through the classroom, providing mini-conferences with the writers.

The Writer’s Workshop curriculum provided the CC students in the Education course with a chance to see teaching methods that were being discussed in class, which included use of visuals, rubrics, and a dedication to the iterative process of writing.
