Jane Lubchenco ’69 to Receive Vannevar Bush Award

The National Science Board recently announced that Jane Lubchenco ’69 will receive the 2018 Vannevar Bush Award, which honors “truly exceptional lifelong leaders in science and technology.”

Jane is a distinguished marine ecologist committed to improving public welfare. To name just a few of her contributions, she has served as the first woman administrator of NOAA, the president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a faculty member at Harvard University and Oregon State University. She also delivered our 2014 Commencement Address and has been recognized with an honorary degree from CC.
