Elam Boockvar-Klein ’20 Named Newman Fellow

Congratulations to Elam Boockvar-Klein ’20, who was awarded a Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship. This award supports students who have dedicated time and energy to community engagement both locally and nationally. Elam was a founding member of CC’s J-Street chapter and created a space for dialogue and action around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He also volunteers at a local middle school.

Elam is a junior majoring in Sociology. During his yearlong Newman fellowship, Elam will attend a national conference for Newman Fellows to learn more about social change. Read more about Elam’s award here.
