This track kind of sounds like if MGMT kept going in the same direction after that first album but were also more focused on dancing and stepping out in tough fits.

Victoryland – The Ugliest Girl On The Beach

In what I can only assume is a reference to Kyle Gordon’s parody song of the same name, Victoryland gives us a song for stock wired earphones on the deluxe version of My Heart is a Room With No Cameras In It, their stellar sophomore album which came out earlier this year. I really think this project could get big; they capture all of the good parts of 2000s indie sleaze while pondering interesting ideas like how our summer bodies all get buried the same in the end.

Cameron Winter – It All Fell in the River (Live at Carnegie Hall)

Everybody knows Cameron Winter released a new live album, but in case you decided to skip the songs with unfamiliar names, It All Fell in the River is one you should definitely check out. Winter reminds us why he is one of the hottest new artists throughout this performance, nailing every fan favorite as well as giving them new contexts through his stripped-back piano ballad approach, and introducing us to three new songs that I can only imagine will be instant classics when they are finally released, unless they all fall in the river before then.

Slow Pulp – Yellow and Green

The most compelling songs to me are the ones that discuss the beginnings and endings of things. Middles are cool too, but for some reason they don’t have the same effect. Throughout Yellow and Green, lead singer Emily Massey takes us through a couple of important moments in a relationship to start Slow Pulp’s third album, Melodie. Waiting three years between albums can be a risk, but the second that I heard her start singing over these very carefully produced and gentle acoustic guitars, I correctly assumed that Slow Pulp had hit the nail on the head and made another great album.

earfzilla – vintage vuitton

Honestly just a banger. It’s kind of like if glaive was Irish, but to be clear, earfzilla is perfectly unique in his own way. The driving electronics paired with the Strokes-esque guitars (or something that sounds like guitars) work very well with his almost monotone voice as he shares an overture of his life as an artist in under a minute and a half. I feel like this would be the theme song to a show about his life and maybe my walk-up song for when I play in the NBA later this year.

That’s all for now. You should definitely check these songs out. Best albums of 2026 list coming soon.

Laundry Day – I WANNA LOVE YOU BABE The Laundry Day wagon keeps rolling, and they can’t seem to miss.
