The Paul F. Sheffer Fund for Roman Catholic Studies has, since the 1980s, invited applications from students and faculty of all religious and cultural backgrounds to explore Catholic thought, faith, and life. Research projects in the history, literature, and ritual practice of Catholicism are eligible for funding up to $3000, and may be enhanced by support from other college sources. Internships or service with social action agencies and experiences of spiritual life in community as well as strictly academic projects are encouraged. Students are advised to build Sheffer applications in consultation with members of the committee. Proposals are due the first Monday of blocks 3, 5, and 7 at 5pm via Summit.
