Tertulia with Eder Muníz, Brazilian graffiti artist and educator

Eder Muníz, “Calangos de Rua” (street lizard) is a painter and graffiti artist from Salvador, Brazil. He co-founded the Movimento Calangos, a collective which unites a range of visual and performing artists to encourage creativity in the city’s periphery (favelas). He was hired in 2005 by the city of Salvador as the official representative artist for the Salvador Graffiti Project. Hes and will give a public lecture on the formation of graffiti art and his approach to altering public spaces to instigate social change.
