Colorado College received 5,775 applications for the Class of 2017, an all-time record high. As a result, the overall acceptance rate for the class was 22 percent, an all-time low. Additionally:
- Nearly 2,800 applications were received under the Early Decision or Early Action plan
- 36 percent acceptance rate for Early Decision applicants
- 30 percent acceptance rate for Early Action applicants
- 12 percent acceptance rate for Regular Decision. The admit rates for all three rounds represent all-time lows for the college.
- 30 percent of admitted students self-identified as students of color
- 8 percent are American ethnic minorities
- Nine percent are international students
- Top five states for admitted students: Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Illinois, and New York
- Top three sending countries: China, Singapore, and the United Kingdom
- 524 first-year students enrolled in the fall
- 45 students will begin in January 2014 as part of the Winter Start program
