Jerry Cross ’91, formerly an assistant director of athletic communications at the U.S. Air Force Academy, began his duties as the director of athletics communications at Colorado College on Aug. 18, 2014. He replaced Dave Moross, who retired in May after nearly 28 years of service.
Cross earned a degree in economics from CC; he had worked in athletic communications at the Air Force Academy since 2000. Before his stint at the academy, Cross was the sports information director and tennis coach at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs from 1996-2000.
Cross began his career as the assistant director of sports information at Colorado College from 1991-1996, adding the duties of women’s tennis coach in 1993. As a CC student, he was a three-year letter winner on the men’s tennis team and served as team captain his senior year. He also worked as a student intern for the athletic communications and intramural offices.
