Students hike through the Fountain Creek valley between Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs before arriving to their creek clean-up assignments. CC’s New Student Orientation programs aim to cultivate a sense of place and connection to Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region by deepening students’ knowledge of local communities, issues, and ecosystems.
