Justin Lippard ’96, Blaine Olsen ’96, Nick Watterson ’96, and Scott Grosscup ’96 (left to right) got together at Sunlight Mountain Resort near Glenwood Springs, Colo., in February to test their physical limits in the 4th Annual 24 Hours of Sunlight endurance ski race. As a four-man team, they climbed a total of 43,558 feet, completing 29 laps and covering a distance of 40.6 miles in 24 hours. They finished 20th out of 50 teams. Of 221 total laps completed in their classification, Scott turned in the seventh fastest time and four of the fastest 20 times. Nick and Blaine were not far off that pace. Justin remarked, “It remains unclear whether Justin knew the event was actually a race.”
