UN DICEMBRE RICCO DI EVENTI!

Block 4 was a super busy time for all of us! Plenty of activities, events and learning opportunities.

So here is a summary of all we did!

ITALIAN HOUSE BREAKFAST! (December 2nd)

Is there anything better to celebrate the end of week 1 block 4? The residents of the Italian house enjoyed a community breakfast on Sunday morning. A lot of coffee and chats to prepare ourselves to another week of hard work!

GNOCCHI WORKSHOP with the students of IT104 (December 5th)

Now I must say, these were some of the most delicious gnocchi we’ve ever made! This time we also experimented a little with a vegan version in order to satisfy all of our students’ dietary requests!

PIZZA AT ANN’S (December 7th)

Once again Ana Baldriga invited the Elementary Italian class to her house and showed us how to make an Italian style pizza. Like she told us: “You wanna top it with two or three well-thought out ingredients. Don’t exaggerate. If you overtop it, you’ll just get a soaky mess!”

MAYSIE’S COOKIES (December 9th)

Our thoughtful resident Maysie organized an intensive baking session on Sunday.

We baked, frosted and decorated cookies for everyone. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that we made over 200 delicious cookies. Eating them all was impossible, so we decided to gift them to Sodexo’s employees, and other language houses’ residents.

And after all this effert, we gave ourselves a treat: some pizza!

SPESSO ESPRESSO (December 10th)

Our blockly event to charge are brain and get ready for week 3!

As you can see, our living room is all set for the Holiday Season!

RAVIOLI WORKSHOP with Elementary Italian IT104 (December 12th)

We closed the cooking workshops of this year with on of our classics: RAVIOLI!

AND NOW?

The Italian House is ready for the new semester.

We say arrivederci to Arnaud, our resident who’s going back to Quest University, and benvenuto to Jay, who is moving in the house after a full semester in Italy!
