You are cordially invited to join faculty and staff from Colorado College, as well as our guest, Dr. Steve Rothstein, for wine and hors d’oeuvres to learn more about a community initiative we are very excited about:
The Colorado Springs Science Center Project
Tutt Science Building Atrium
1112 N. Nevada Ave.
Friday, January 17th, 2014
4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Colorado Springs Science Center
Science Centers are places of connections in communities…
Science Centers create forums for the exchange of ideas, hosting debates and talks, and sponsoring programs where discussions can take place around science and technology related issues to help better our community. A Science Center is a place about hands-on, informal learning for all ages. It is a place that will reach out to schools and the broader community with programs, research, curricula and learning experiences that fuel a greater understanding of how science and technology affects our lives. Science Centers are a place to showcase local and regional science and technology innovation and research, a tourist attraction, a revenue generator, a place that propels downtown progress. A Science Center would attract jobs, people and business to Colorado Springs.
This event at Colorado College is not a fundraiser, but simply a casual, informal, fun gathering to share an evolving, developing idea in our community.
Please RSVP to Una.ng@coloradocollege.edu to let us know if you are able to attend.
Thanks! We look forward to talking about this community project with you!
