We’re just days away from CC’s biggest celebration of the year: Commencement 2022!


Dear Class of 2022 graduates,

The time has come! This weekend, you will graduate and become alumni of Colorado College. We are so proud of you, and we look forward to honoring your achievements throughout Commencement weekend.

Here are the final details and key reminders for Commencement 2022. Remember to share your experiences using #coloradocollege2022 on social media!

Commencement Weekend:
  • Class Celebration, Friday, May 20, 8-11 p.m., Antlers Hotel. Bring your family and friends to this fun event at the Antlers downtown! Celebrate with food, drinks, live music, a senior video and slideshow, and more. Graduates must claim their free ticket on CC Ticketmaster, and guests may purchase tickets for $25/person. Attire is cocktail/semi-formal.
  • Baccalaureate, Saturday, May 21, at 3 p.m., in Ed Robson Arena, kicks off Commencement weekend events with a chance to reflect and express gratitude. Dr. Neena Grover, professor of chemistry and biochemistry, will give the Baccalaureate address. 
  • Commencement, Sunday, May 22, 8:30 a.m., in Ed Robson Arena. This is the culmination of the academic year, in which we honor the graduates of the Class of 2022. Dr. Margaret A. Liu ’77 will deliver the Commencement address.
  • President’s Reception, Sunday, May 22, 11 a.m.-noon: Following the Commencement ceremony, please join President L. Song Richardson on Tava Quad for light refreshments.
Both Commencement and Baccalaureate are open only to graduates and their ticketed guests. A livestream will be available for both ceremonies at coloradocollege.edu/commencement.

Key Reminders

  • Transfer tickets to your guests: Please remember to claim your guest tickets for Commencement and Baccalaureate and transfer them to your guests via CC Ticketmaster (detailed transfer instructions available here and in the reminder email from Thursday, May 12). Your guests will not be able to access their tickets to enter Ed Robson Arena, and will not receive the venue-specific “Know Before You Go” email later this week, if you do not complete this step.
  • Mandatory Commencement Rehearsal: Friday, May 20, 10:45 a.m. All graduates are required to attend rehearsal in order to walk in Sunday’s ceremony. Meet on the north side of Ed Robson Arena at 10:45 a.m. Rehearsal begins promptly at 11. Please wear your regalia (cap and gown).
  • Senior Class Photo: Saturday, May 21, 2 p.m. Gather on the steps of Palmer Hall for a group photo with your classmates. Please wear your regalia (cap and gown).
  • Call time for graduates on Commencement morning is 7:15 a.m. Graduates assemble on the north side of Ed Robson Arena. Please be prompt and allow ample time for traffic and congestion.
  • Grad Images, Sunday, May 22, 1-4 p.m. Grad Images will be available in the Perkins Lounge in Worner Campus Center to take individual, professional photos of you in your cap and gown. Once images are processed, you will be able to review and select specific photos for purchase at GradImages.com.
  • Departmental Receptions: Click here for the full schedule of department-specific receptions, most of which take place Saturday afternoon after Baccalaureate. Students will also receive invitations directly from their academic departments. 

Parking and Road Closures

On Commencement morning, attendees may park anywhere on campus (no fees or permits apply), except the first floor of the Ed Robson Arena parking garage on East Dale St. Golf carts will also be available from parking areas across campus to transport guests to Ed Robson Arena.

Accessible parking is available on all levels of the Ed Robson Arena parking garage and in other parking lots on campus. Additionally, the first level of the parking garage is reserved for guests with disabilities who require parking close to the venue. 

Guests may enter Ed Robson Arena using the entrances on E. Cache La Poudre St. (main entrance) or N. Tejon St., or via the first floor of the arena parking garage. 

On Sunday, May 22, the following roads will be closed for Commencement activities:

  • E. Cache La Poudre St. from N. Nevada Ave. to N. Cascade Ave.
  • N. Tejon St. from E. Dale St. to E. Cache La Poudre St.
Free Pike Rides for Commencement Weekend
CC has partnered with PikeRide, a local nonprofit electric bike share program, to offer free ride codes for friends and family of graduating seniors.
 
There is a single code for graduation weekend, which is: CCGRAD22
 
The code can be used for two trips of up to 20 minutes per trip. If the trip runs over 20 minutes, the rider will be charged the standard rate of 15 cents/minute for the remainder of the trip. The code is active starting Friday, May 20, and will run through the weekend.
