Learn about the history of Juneteenth from author, national public speaker, and education juggernaut, Adam Smith. Celebrate the talent of the local community and find out how you can get involved in Juneteenth activities near you! All members of the Colorado College community, including students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents and families, are invited to attend.

Adam A. Smith is a first-generation college graduate who has dedicated his almost three-decade career to ensuring college access and success for all Americans. He is the Executive Director for University Academic Advising at The University of Kentucky, and has a vibrant public speaking and educational consulting firm, Adam A. Smith & Associates, and hosts the “Get Uncomfortable” podcast. Smith has led coalitions and innovations that have had a dramatic impact on student success at Metropolitan State University, The University of Alabama, The University of Akron City of Rockford (IL), and Rock Valley College.
