Care for Our Community: Sensitive Content About War

Dear Colorado College Community, 

It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to you today.  

The devastation, destruction, and death occurring in Palestine and Israel is harrowing and heartbreaking. We acknowledge this war impacts members of our community in various ways. 

We hope for comfort for those who are grieving, healing for those who are wounded, and relief for those who are worried about missing loved ones.   

In this moment of tragedy for the people of Israel and Palestine, we express solidarity and we seek comfort in community. We encourage you to educate yourself about the unfolding of these events and seek resources for self and communal care. Please take care of yourselves and each other. 

Tomorrow, Tuesday October 10 from 3:30-4 p.m., there will be a gathering on the Labyrinth (north side of Shove Memorial Chapel) to be in community and hold all who are suffering with compassion.
