Employee Experience Developments in 2023

2023 has been an eventful year. HR has been working hard to help enhance your experience as an employee at CC.
Hiring PracticesWe have revamped our staff hiring practices to attract the best candidates for open positions and to contribute to our antiracism goals. Reach out to Missy Liu if you plan to start a search so she can share the details.
CompensationWe implemented the most significant compensation increases in recent years and met the MIT Sustainable wage for full-time employees. We are in the process of creating a new structure to help us fulfill our commitment to making sure employees are paid competitively compared to similar jobs in similar organizations.
Leave PracticesWe will be implementing our comprehensive leave enhancements on January 1. On this date, hourly employees will begin accruing vacation time at the same rate as our salaried employees.
Feedback PracticesBased on lots of feedback from the campus community, we will be rolling out significant changes to the evaluation process. Please take time to sign up for an Excel session on these changes or register to attend the Open Forum on January 11 in Gaylord Hall.
Training and DevelopmentOur new learning system (Bridge) is live. Log in today to check it out and register for Spring Excel at CC sessions! There will be additional training on other features of Bridge coming soon, but in the meantime, please reach out to Sara San Souci if you have specific questions.
It is our goal to help you thrive at CC.  Please let us know if there’s any way we can help!

End of Year Wellness Reflection

As we near the end of the year, this is a great opportunity to take stock of how you are doing personally, and how you might want to thrive in the next year. If you’d like support in reflecting, this worksheet can help you in think about the year and your hopes for 2024.

Fall Team Building Events

This Fall, Ginger Jurecka Blake and Sara San Souci engaged in development opportunities across multiple areas of the CC community. The pictures below show Facilities Services and the Office of the Dean of the College at some of these events, participating in activities centered around communication and collaboration.
