Meet two more CC student-athletes!

These Tigers represent our Women’s Basketball and Men’s Cross Country teams. Read more about their team’s academic accomplishments in 2023:

Division III Week is an opportunity to share information about NCAA Division III, its priorities, and – most importantly – celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes.

Sport: Basketball
Major: Business, Economics, and Society
Favorite Class: Women and Madness
Top CC Academic Moment/Accomplishment: Making Academic SCAC honor roll.
Special Talents/Skills: Just Dance with friends and cornhole.
Hobbies: Eating, ceramics, cards, hiking.
Proudest Moment at CC: Beating #1 undefeated-ranked Trinity.
Community Service Experience: 
Centennial Elementary School, Tessa, Labor Day Lift Off.

Sport: Cross Country (and Track & Field)
Major: Computer Science
Favorite Class: Scientific Simulation at The Lawrence Livermore National Lab
Top CC Academic Moment/Accomplishment: I gave my Computer Science capstone presentation this block. My teammate James Settles and I built a software tool for our coach. It was amazing to present the fully complete software product we built and to get his reaction.
Special Talents/Skills: I can ride the unicycle and I can juggle knives!
Hobbies: Cycling, skiing, climbing, reading, and trail running.
Proudest Moment at CC: I was incredibly proud when our cross-country team made it to NCAA nationals. We have worked and trained incredibly hard for that opportunity, and it finally happened this year.
Community Service Experience: 
I served as the director of CCEMS, our campus EMT squad, this year. Having the opportunity to help lead the organization taught me a ton about what it means to be active in our community and help our students.
