It’s Day 5 of Division III Week!

This week, we’re highlighting two of our Division III student-athletes each day. Today, I’m thrilled to introduce two more CC Tigers, from the Women’s Tennis and Men’s Swimming & Diving teams. Read more about their team’s academic accomplishments in 2023:
Class Year: 2027 
Sport: Tennis 
Major: Studio Art 
Favorite Class: Intro to Drawing with Kate Leonard. 
Top CC Academic Moment/Accomplishment: Writing a 15-page paper on women’s struggles crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. 
Special Talents/Skills: Guessing the color of skittles candy by taste.
Hobbies: Painting, drawing, yoga, and traveling.
Proudest Moment at CC: Coming back from a knee injury to compete with my team in California. 
Community Service Experience: 
3 weeks with GIVE volunteers working on environmental conservation projects. 2.5 weeks with Hoops 4 Hope, volunteering in underserved communities in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Sport: Swimming
Major: Computer Science
Favorite Class: Primate Behavior and Ecology and Conservation
Top CC Academic Moment/Accomplishment: Earning the Crown-Goodman Presidential Scholarship.
Special Talents/Skills: I can learn new information fast, know how computer hardware works, good at taking things apart, fixing things, and putting things back together.
Hobbies: Skiing, baseball, hiking, and almost anything else outside.
Proudest Moment at CC: Setting my first school record at SCAC Championships in 2023.
Community Service Experience: Volunteered with TESSA, Little Cats swimming program, and Monument Creek trash cleanups.
