Divisional and presidential strategic plan updates

Shared governance at Colorado College is rooted in collective responsibility and open, consistent communication. As leaders, the Cabinet and I engage in regular strategic planning to provide clarity and direction — and in sharing these priorities, we empower everyone on campus to better understand how their daily work connects to the broader vision for CC.
Over the summer, I worked alongside the Cabinet to update CC’s presidential and divisional strategic plans. We will continue to refresh these twice per year. Some plans cover one year, others look across two or more, reflecting distinct needs and opportunities in each area. Together, they form a framework that keeps us aligned and ensures that as we claim CC’s space in higher education, we do so purposefully and with focus.
Please review the updated divisional plans, along with my presidential priorities (CC login required). You should know your division’s plan well — and I encourage you to peruse the others too, to see how our efforts intersect and support one another.

These strategic documents will serve as our guides for decision-making, resource allocation, and shared accountability across CC. They will help us make intentional choices in a shifting higher education landscape and remind us that we all play a role in charting the course for CC’s next 150 years. Later this fall, an institutional annual report will bring these pieces together, synthesizing progress since last year’s plans so that we can look ahead with confidence.
Thank you for your dedication to the goals and priorities outlined in these documents. I have no doubt we’re up to the challenge together.
With gratitude,
