CC is excited to once again participate in the Pikes Peak Pride Parade on Sunday, June 14, and we invite staff, faculty, students, and their families to join us in celebration and solidarity. If you are unable to join us on the day of the parade, please join us for a decorating event or participate by submitting words of encouragement and affirmation. We are working with The Press to create and share affirmations on the parade route.
This year, our parade theme is Trans Visibility. We center this theme to celebrate and uplift transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people, to affirm their belonging in our community, and to recognize the importance of visibility in advancing dignity, safety, and equity for all.
If you would like to participate in the parade, please RSVP. If you have questions about access or would like to request disability-related accommodations, please include your request in the participation form.
The parade begins promptly at 10 a.m., starting at Acacia Park (Platte Blvd. and Tejon St.) and will finish at Alamo Square Park (E. Vermijo Ave. and Tejon St.). Participants should plan commit to two+ hours. The parade will take place rain or shine.
By participating, we will join the broader Pikes Peak community in honoring the legacy of Pride and affirming our commitment to respect, inclusion, and care for people of all genders, identities, cultures, and sexual orientations. We hope you’ll join us!
Warmly,
CC at Pride Parade Volunteers
