Zoe Williamson ’26 Wins Fulbright to Teach in Botswana

Zoe Williamson ’26 has won a 2026 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Award to Botswana, where she will spend nine months teaching secondary school students.
“I am thrilled to be able to grow as an educator in Botswana,” Williamson says. “I am also really excited to build a community there.”

Allison Barker ’26 Named SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Year
|
After winning three conference titles and earning her first All-America honor, Colorado College recent graduate Allison Barker ’26 was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Year for the 2026 season by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).
Barker, from Bethesda, Maryland, became Colorado College’s ninth female track athlete to earn All-America honors with an 11th-place finish in the 1,500-meter final at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She finished the race with a school-record time of 4:26.77.

The Department of Feminist & Gender Studies is excited to announce Dr. Melissa L. Durland (FGS and Psychology ’15), Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington (UW), was appointed Director of Psychological Services and Training Center (PSTC) this past summer.
The PSTC offers low-cost, high-quality, time-limited, evidence-based assessment and treatment to the UW and Seattle metropolitan communities. It is also the primary training center for doctoral students in the UW Clinical Psychology Program, with mental health services provided by advanced graduate students under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.

Curious George: The Golden Meatball

George had been waiting all month for All-You-Can-Eat Meatball Day, a day almost bigger than his birthday! But this year, the hungry crowd had vanished! Something was keeping people away… something pretty big. And that something was Phinneas T. Lightspeed and his speedy Meatballs-o-Matic machine. In despair, George’s friend Chef Pisghetti vows to cook no more. Determined to help him, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome.
Everyone’s favorite mischievous monkey and his friend in the yellow hat sing and dance up a storm in this adventure-filled musical. Curious George: The Golden Meatball runs July 21-Aug. 2 at the FAC.
