It’s Generosity Day — Let’s Celebrate

Generosity Day is finally here, and it’s time to celebrate everything that makes Colorado College great.

Generosity Day is a day of CC pride and philanthropy. It’s an opportunity for the entire CC community — including alumni, parents and families, and friends — to come together and support each other and the college we all love. Join us as we celebrate our community’s bold spirit, the individuals who make this place special, and all things CC.

You’re invited to join us for several in-person activities:

The Generosity Day Carnival Hosted by CC Mutual Aid and Senior Class Gift Committee

Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ed Robson Arena

Join CC Mutual Aid and the Senior Class Gift Committee for a fun afternoon at Ed Robson Arena. The ice will be open for skating, and the concourse will have lots of fun carnival games. Win prizes, enjoy free food and drinks, and learn more about CC Mutual Aid and the Senior Class Gift. All classes are welcome. We hope to see you there.

Free Cookies at Rastall’s

11:30 a.m. at Worner Campus Center

This one’s a big deal… we’re giving away Sasquatch and vegan Rule Breaker cookies at lunch. Come get yours while supplies last.

Generosity Day Lecture Watch Party

5:45 p.m. at JLK McHugh Commons

Gather in person with fellow CC students, faculty, and staff to watch the virtual discussion, “An Evening with Professor Aline Lo and Professor John Williams: Exploring the Perspectives and Voices of the Asian Diaspora Communities Through Author Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Works, ‘The Sympathizer’ and ‘The Committed.’” Food and drinks will be available, along with CC Trivia and giveaways in honor of Generosity Day. Join us for a fun evening of learning together.

We’ll see you there.

TOMORROW: Take a Campus Pause to Start Block 7

A Campus Pause

A Campus Pause

Don’t forget that tomorrow, Monday, March 28, the campus community will use the time reserved for First Mondays programming to pause, inviting students, staff, and faculty to dedicate time to their own mental health.
Classes will dismiss early, as on the first Monday of every block, so that all may participate. From 11:15 a.m.-noon, the CC community will observe a united pause: no classes, no meetings; an opportunity for a break from busyness to take care of yourself.

The First Mondays Event Series is a campus-wide forum that aims to engage all members of the CC community, including students, staff, administrators, and faculty. The series creates opportunities for the whole community to gather, encouraging everyone to be part of the intellectual life of the college, and facilitating discourse among students, faculty, and staff, across courses, disciplines, and divisions. Classes are dismissed early on the first Monday of each block so that all may attend the First Mondays event.
