SOTD: This River – Kath Bloom and Loren MazzeCane Connors

Been going through a rough spot and Bloom’s shaking wails that trail off and Connors’ guitar have said everything for me.
At points Connors’ guitar sings its own ballad to the dying, at others it joins Bloom’s.
There’s something about the discordance between the Bloom’s guitar line and Bloom vocals and Connors’ additions that could only be fused together perfectly by a raw grief.
It captures a chasm between one and the world.
Maybe I just contradicted myself, but maybe that’s a small bit of the grief’s confusion.
In some ways you’ve never been closer to the world, in some ways never further.
