CC-BUL-APRIL2016-07-NewsWishWeWereHereCC’s NPR-member station KRCC received the Colorado Broadcasters Association Award for best mini-documentary or series for “Episode 10: After the Evangelical Vatican” in KRCC’s “Wish We Were Here” series, co-produced by Noel Black and Jake Brownell ’12.

The series received national and international play in recent months. In December, WBEZ in Chicago aired Episode 6: “Anchor Dreams – the Passion of Scoop Nemeth.” In March, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s CBC Podcast Playlist included a portion of Episode 8: “CSPD Black – The True Story of Colorado Springs’ First African-American Detective.” Alumni may be interested to hear a gripping story that includes Dan Crossey ’74 and Nate Porter ’90, in Episode 12: “Avalanche on America’s Mountain.”

Colorado College also garnered four awards – one gold and three silver – for print publications at the recent 2016 American Advertising Federation ceremony. Winning publications included the August 2015 edition of the Bulletin (“The Gardens of Colorado College”), the 2014-15 Annual Report, and brochures created for the college’s scholarship and library giving campaigns.
