Gerri Anne Reed and Diane Comstock represented Colorado College’s Education Department’s WhizBang Science Children’s Summer Program on New Year’s Eve at the “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration at the City Auditorium in Downtown Colorado Springs. The turn-out was amazing. The children were so excited and Diane and Gerri Anne had as much fun as anyone helping children create their own science experiments. Check out the Ed. Dept. web pages for all of the Ed. Dept. children’s summer programs at http://www.coloradocollege.edu/academics/dept/education/childrens-summer-programs for full information and registration details and pass it on!

Exploring the Waldo Canyon Fire Through Art

Anna Nelson, MAT candidate in K-12 Art taught her 8th graders at Eagleview Middle School how artists express emotion through color, expressive line
and form.  They then went to the burn site a few minutes from the school
